Reboot, run a FullCAL and save the ICC profile under a new name, short and simple like: monitorĮrror 1248 Posted by Larisa Bolli on 09 July 2009 08:59 AM This error (GetMonitorStrings) means that when we are asking the OS for the monitor name we are not getting anything back.

Update driver => search on local computer => select from list of drivers on computer => uncheck the "show compatible hardware" box and now select the "Non-PnP-Monitor (Standard)" driver. Please do a right mouse click on the "PnP-Monitor (Standard)" and change the driver settings like this. If the monitor its set as "PnP-Monitor (Standard)" in the Windows Device Manager, go to the Windows Device Manager => Monitors. Please also update the monitor driver from the monitor manufacturers home page, if available. Please update the graphic cards driver from the graphic cards manufacturers home page. Pleas let me know if you have any thoughts or similar experiences. I'm still following up with Datacolor, but I thought I'd crowdsource it on here. I've successfully carried out these instructions, but it didn't resolve the matter. I've started a ticket with Datacolor, and they have given me some instructions (posted below). I have to click "OK" and all is well, but it pops up nearly every time I wake up my machine. I keep getting an odd pop up from SpyderUtility. The color calibration is all good and everything is functioning perfectly well except for one thing.
